Master in Clinical Research

The STAND4Kids National Hub for pediatric clinical trials integrates the Scientific Coordination Committee of the Master in Clinical Research of the Lisbon School of Medicine (FMUL).

The Master in Clinical Research from FMUL is an innovative education and training program that offers an integrated and multidisciplinary vision for the promotion of excellent clinical research that aims to train research teams with multidisciplinary professionals highly specialized in clinical research management.

FMUL has extensive knowledge and relevant experience in clinical research through its research centers and platforms, with a team of professors made up of researchers with extensive clinical experience and collaborators with a strong component in clinical research management, thus ensuring a solid training program for the students.

The training promoted by the Master in Clinical Research guarantees compliance with the ethical and methodological standards defined by the Good Clinical Practices (BCP) as well as by national and European legislation on clinical trials, thus professionalizing clinical research in its various areas of activity (health units, universities, academic centers, pharmaceutical and health technology companies, clinical research organizations – CROs).

Course “Clinical Research: What’s it all about?…a focused training for busy investigators and study teams”

The STAND4Kids National Hub for pediatric clinical trials is the scientific sponsor of the course “Clinical Research: What’s it all about?…a focused training for busy investigators and study teams” developed and organized by CETERA, Academic Consulting Research Organization (CRO) and an autonomous department of the Association for Research and Development of the Lisbon School of Medicine (AIDFM).

The 10th (and last) edition of the Clinical Research: What’s it all about?…a focused training for busy investigators and study teams” will be held online on 21st and 22nd of November 2022. You can apply from 15th October to 10th  November 2022.

Running clinical studies is a complex task that requires several skills. Skills ranging from Good Clinical Practice over all applicable regulations up to operational aspects on how to carry out clinical studies. Having a high trained and specialized study team conducting clinical research is the main key to achieving success in recruitment objectives and high standards of quality and performance. This interactive 2-day course will provide you a comprehensive knowledge on the practical aspects of clinical studies, essential to reach the highest quality of data whilst ensuring the study participants’ safety and well-being and that your professional knowledge is optimized.
