STAND4KIDS aims to establish a national pediatric trial network through the following activities:

  • Mapping national sites, based on expertise and operational capacity of pediatric trials (clinical and trial conduct).
  • Provide C4C with information on practices at national and site level, including:
    • Ethics and regulatory approvals
    • Standards for study procedures and documents – e.g. confidentiality agreements, master contracts, budget templates
  • Support C4C proof-of-viability studies (industry and non-industry) conducted in Portugal:
    • Site selection
    • Feasibility assessments (site and/or national)
    • Site readiness and site performance
  • Disseminate and support the implementation of network-wide standards and processes.
  • Identify training needs from sites and liaise with sites for C4C training opportunities.
  • Link with and promote the voices of children, young people and families at national level
